Mark Einhorn, Producer/Composer/Song WriterMark Alan Einhorn is a LA-based producer, composer, arranger with a degree in music composition from UCLA. He has collaborated with various musical giants, including the legendary jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell, the brilliant Indian Karnati vocalist Aditya Prakash, and the heavy-hitting, rock sensation, Portugal. the Man. With PTM, Mark earned a performing and arranging credit on their latest record, Evil Friends (4 June 2013), which was released through Atlantic Records and produced by Danger Mouse. He also performed live with Portugal. the Man at the Coachella Valley Music Festival in 2013. In addition, Mark is also Logic Pro certified and is co-author and curriculum coordinator for Recording Connection’s Electronic Music Program. He has also composed music for a number of short films, and has worked directly under Keith Power, composer for the TV series, Hawaii Five-O, and Bryan Tyler, acclaimed composer for the Fast and the Furious movie series, Iron Man 2 & 3, and Eagle Eye, just to name a few.

Andre “Dre” Knight Sr. is an American record producer, pianist, songwriter, and composer. He was a founding member of The Narcotics, a production team out of New York, NY. He has produced songs for various artists, including Frank Ocean, Sizzla, Sha Stimuli, K. Michelle, Astro, Nicki Minaj and LL Cool J. Dre’s production style consists of mainly live instrumentation with hip hop-driven undertones. His influences are Prince, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and producer Lord Digga. Dre began his career as a founding member of The Narcotics and in the summer of 2005, they rose to notoriety producing the remix to Teairra Marí’s hit single “Make Her Feel Good” which featured rappers Kanye West & Jay-Z.

Jesse Rhodes

Engineer / Producer / Songwriter

Jesse Rhodes, Head Engineer/ Producer/Song WriterJesse Rhodes is a Los Angeles native who began his journey through the music scene around 2007. Playing in a number of garage pop punk bands, he made his way through the gigging circuit, performing on stages in the Whiskey A-Go-Go, Key Club, The Roxy, and the like. In 2011, he left the bands to take the “behind-the-scenes” road. He began an apprenticeship at ES Audio Recording Studios via the Recording Connection, and quickly became head engineer. With that position came some work with some big name artists. Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Shane Dawson, Trinidad James, and the UK duo Jedward to list a few. While engineering was his main gig, he has also spent the time writing music for T.V. and film, producing and developing some up and coming artists, and generally honing his craft. He is currently putting his experience to use by helping artists realize their musical vision, and re-introducing himself to the LA music scene under his new duo project “Dire Docks”, while calling The Abstract Recording Studio home.

Doug Boulware, V. P. of Operations/Producer/EngineerAfter working in some of the biggest studios in Los Angeles, under some of the biggest names in music, Doug Boulware partnered with visionary Jason Ries to bring you The Abstract LA. Doug’s start in music began as a child vocalist in music theater. His influences range from the big band and jazz present in the household to Motown and oldies his mother insisted on! Doug’s obsession for music took a more contemporary turn in his formidable years in the early electronic music scene in LA. Doug has been an underground house music DJ since the 90’s which led to him to his true passion, music production and songwriting. The Abstract LA represents the culmination of a lifelong dream based of a lifelong love of music!
